Nevada Goldeneye
Nevada Goldeneye (Heliomeris multiflora var. nevadensis) is a variety of the more widespread Showy Goldeneye (Heliomeris multiflora). The main differences are the thinner leaves and more straggly appearance. It has green linear leaves that are narrow and pointed, typically covered in stiff, short hairs. The stems are slender, wiry, and often bushy, growing to be between 8 and 48 inches tall. Both the ray flowers and disk flowers are yellow forming heads 1 to 1.5 inches broad.
