Desert Recluse Spider
Introduction:
It is a venomous spider found in the Sonoran and Mojave deserts of the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. It is characterized by its sandy or tan color, six eyes arranged in pairs, and a violin-shaped marking on its cephalothorax. Like other recluse spiders, its bite can cause necrotic skin lesions. It is sandy or tan in color with a light brown abdomen. There is a darker, violin-shaped pattern on its cephalothora. It does not spin webs and is nocturnal.
